Once you have a particular animal in mind, fill out an application at the shelter or online here.
If you rent, we need a copy of your lease with the pet addendum included, or contact information for your landlord for us to contact.
If you own, we need a copy of your deed or proof of ownership. If that is not available, we will do a tax assessment check when you are in the shelter.
Once housing is cleared and your application has been approved, you can fill out our Adoption Deposit Form at the shelter and a deposit will be required. This deposit puts a hold on the animal, meaning no one else will be able to adopt them and they are yours forever!
Adoptions are on a first come first serve basis. If applications are made online, you must still come to the shelter in person and put down a deposit for the adoption to be finalized.
Once the deposit is put down, the animal will be fixed if they are not already, up to-date on all vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoptions are on a first come first serve basis. If applications are made online (contact@pahs.org) you must still come to the shelter in person and put down a deposit for the adoption to be finalized.
If you are a chosen applicant, you will be asked to come in and see the dog and have an in-person interview.
You are not guaranteed a puppy unless you are able and allowed to put down a deposit.
